After a grueling four month lockdown, Wolfe Tones returned to action today (18 April) with the relaunch of our junior teams and our senior men’s team in Covid-19 bubbles.
Almost 40 children participated in sessions overseen by the coaching team and assisted by special guest and Antrim Ladies’ captain Aislinn McFarland. The committee wish to express our thanks to Aislinn for attending and county chairperson Shauna Rafferty for arranging the visit.
Almost 30 senior players trained today, under the guidance of Enda McAtamney, Tony Curran and Gavin Cumiskey.
Most players returned from last year and a number of promising new talents were on display as well. This bodes well for the future and we await the green light from Croke Park to proceed with challenge games in advance of the new season.
Training continues for seniors at 7pm at The Valley on Wednesday and for both men and juniors on Sunday.
Sunday 2nd May sees an exciting new development with the introduction of the Gaelic 4 Mothers and Others programme.
