In order to support and drive Gaelic games to the next level, we are aiming to start a Charitable Foundation (registered with the Charity Commission) to support the development of Gaelic games in Greencastle, Whitewell, Bawnmore, Longlands, Whiteabbey and the wider Loughshore area.
Our first port of call is to recruit board members for the 1931 Foundation. This is a great development for Gaelic games in our catchment area and we want to build a voluntary board of trustees to support and develop this.
The main function of the charitable foundation will be to work with trusts, foundations, governmental and academic institutions to generate income and strategic partnerships. This is a serious enhancement in our fundraising and relationship building initiatives that will drive local Gaelic games to the next level in the coming years.
